Major Beijing art exhibition comes to UNSW

The Confucius Institute was delighted to welcome over 70 guests to the special opening of an exhibition of artworks from Beijing’s Confucius Temple and Imperial Academy.

The exhibition of over 100 pieces consists of three parts: the first part of the exhibition demonstrates the life of Confucius, his ideas of education and his world influence. The second part shows the ancient architectural art of the Imperial Academy Museum and its historic culture sites. The third part consists of about 20 paintings from various Chinese artists. The Four Treasures of a Chinese Study Room is displayed in the exhibition for visitors to enjoy writing Chinese characters themselves.

Over recent years, the Confucius Institute has received increasing attention for its efforts in promoting Chinese language and culture from both the UNSW student and staff population and the Sydney community at large.
