On May 22-23, UNSW undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Principles and Practice (MGMT2010) and Entrepreneurship & New Venture Management (MGMT5611) respectively, pitched their business ideas to a live panel of judges.

Run by Senior Lecturer in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr Martin Bliemel, more than 130 students participated in the two DemoDays. A total of 16 teams delivered pitches, with half of those identifying China as their target market.

After presenting their 3-minute pitches to an expert panel of angel investors and industry representatives, 1st prize was awarded to CasualTeach, a platform to find substitute teachers, and Your Little Hero, a startup creating custom storybooks for children.

The Confucius Institute at UNSW is proud to have been an event sponsor, and hopes to continue its support of innovation and entrepreneurship on campus.
