The Australia China Business Council cooperates with the Confucius Institute at UNSW

Last night (19 March 2015), in cooperation with the Confucius Institute at UNSW Australia, the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) held their renowned China Business Drinks event at the CBD Hotel, Sydney.

Founded in 1973, ACBC actively promotes two-way trade and investment, and economic cooperation and understanding, between the business communities of Australia and China

Having held hundreds of events in Sydney, this event was unique as it was the first time the Confucius Institute at UNSW attended and promoted itself at an ACBC function. More than 130 people from across the Australia-China business network participated, and the Confucius Institute at UNSW took this opportunity to raise awareness of our Chinese for Business language courses and develop rapport throughout the members of the Australian business community. This event is evident of the growing relationship between the Institute and ACBC.

A significant supporter of the event, we provided a free ten-week Chinese for Business course, given to one lucky draw prize winner. It is our hope that more people in the Australian business community will develop their understanding of Chinese language and culture, and this event was just one step in in the ladder to achieving this goal.
