Practise your Chinese with native speakers, meet new friends and learn about Chinese culture
We at the Confucius Institute are here to help make your Chinese learning experience as fun and enriching as possible.
In parks, cafes and schools all across China, Chinese people gather at ‘English Corners’ to practise their spoken English with peers and native speakers. Inspired by this, our Chinese Corner meets weekly each semester.
Chinese language students and enthusiasts get the opportunity to practise their Chinese with native speakers in a friendly and welcoming environment, as well as gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.
Each week, we’ll cover a different aspect of Chinese culture, with topics including traditional festivals, food, music and art. A variety of Chinese snacks are also provided at each event.
Chinese Corner for Semester 1, 2017 will run from week 3.
Time: Every Tuesday 1-2pm
Place: Morven Brown, Room 209
